Construction of a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) school in Haiti

Overview

The project consists in the construction of a Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) campus in Ouanaminthe (northeast of Haiti) associated to economical poles (CODEVI industrial park) and higher education institutions of the northeast corridor of the country.

The project aims to better equip the population, and especially youths and women, for labour market demands. Furthermore, it will establish career guidance and coaching to improve the employability of outgoing students.

The TVET campus will be composed of three poles of excellence (digital, entrepreneurship and equipment maintenance):

  • A cluster of TVET educational institutions mutualising resources
  • A public agricultural technical high school
  • A network of industrial parks where workers can train and students can do internships
