Description

The Global Case Study on Small Islands Developing States (SIDS) is one of the case studies contributing to the Strategic Evaluation of the Collective International Development Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, conducted under the auspices of the COVID-19 Global Evaluation Coalition.

This joint evaluation aims to provide a system-wide perspective, analysing the coherence, relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency of the global response, including efforts towards equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines. The SIDS case study is part of Module 4 of the Strategic Joint Evaluation, entitled “Partner country case studies”, and provides an in-depth analysis of the support received by SIDS between January 2020 and December 2022. The case study is grounded in the unique socio-economic, structural, and environmental challenges faced by SIDS.
