Description
This evaluation focused on the MDTF project to identify: How effective are the mechanisms in place for monitoring and evaluation and is the data required adequate, available in the format required and sufficiently robust; quality assure the output data available for the review and provide recommendations, as appropriate; analyse if the programme data sufficiently reflects its focus on poor and underserved areas, women, girls and children, and the requirements of the Gender Equality Act. The expert participated in the overall annual review 2016 and 2017 as part of the Core team and participate in the review the programme against the 2016 and 2017 Annual Review and MDTF results framework and progress for Round II of the MDTF.
The Pakistan Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan was established in August 2010. It is one of the key instruments to support the reconstruction, rehabilitation, reforms and other interventions needed to build peace and create the conditions for sustainable development in the aftermath of the 2009 crisis – together with reducing the potential for the escalation or resumption of conflict in these regions. The MDTF is administered by the World Bank and supported by the following donors - Australia, Denmark, European Union, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey, UK, and the USA.
