“Global Gateway” ir Eiropas Savienības stratēģija, kuras mērķis ir veicināt viedu, tīru un drošu savienojamību digitālajā, enerģētikas un transporta nozarē un stiprināt veselības, izglītības un pētniecības sistēmas visā pasaulē.
Šī stratēģija pilnībā saskan ar ANO Programmu 2030. gadam un tajā ietvertajiem ilgtspējīgas attīstības mērķiem, kā arī ar Parīzes nolīgumu.
Tās mērķis ir mobilizēt investīcijas 300 miljardu eiro apmērā.
Stratēģijas “Global Gateway” īstenošanā tiks izmantota Eiropas komandas pieeja, proti, ES, tās dalībvalstis un finanšu un attīstības iestādes apvienosies ar mērķi mobilizēt privāto sektoru, lai piesaistītu investīcijas ar pārveidojošu ietekmi.
