Η Global Gateway είναι η ευρωπαϊκή στρατηγική για την προώθηση έξυπνων, καθαρών και ασφαλών συνδέσεων στους τομείς της ψηφιακής τεχνολογίας, της ενέργειας και των μεταφορών, καθώς και για την ενίσχυση των συστημάτων υγείας, εκπαίδευσης και έρευνας σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο.
Η στρατηγική Global Gateway ευθυγραμμίζεται πλήρως με το θεματολόγιο των Ηνωμένων Εθνών για το 2030 και τους στόχους βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης, καθώς και με τη συμφωνία του Παρισιού.
Σκοπός της στρατηγικής Global Gateway είναι να κινητοποιήσει επενδύσεις ύψους έως και 300 δισ. ευρώ.
Μέσω της προσέγγισης «Ομάδα Ευρώπη», η Global Gateway θα φέρει σε επαφή την ΕΕ, τα κράτη μέλη της και τα χρηματοπιστωτικά και αναπτυξιακά ιδρύματά τους, και θα επιδιώξει να κινητοποιήσει τον ιδιωτικό τομέα προκειμένου να μοχλεύσει επενδύσεις για να επιτύχει μετασχηματιστικό αντίκτυπο.

Global Gateway will support investments in climate mitigation and resilience, as well as clean energy - a necessity but also a major economic opportunity in low and middle-income countries.
Transport
Global Gateway is promoting worldwide infrastructure investments that create sustainable, smart, resilient, inclusive and safe networks in all modes of transport.
Health
Global Gateway is strengthening healthcare capacities around the world, helping us to overcome diseases such as COVID-19, malaria, yellow fever, tuberculosis or HIV/AIDS.
Education and research
Global Gateway is investing in quality education, paying attention to the inclusion of vulnerable groups, and is working with partner countries to strengthen cooperation on research and innovation.
