Strategija „Global Gateway“ yra Europos strategija, kuria siekiama skatinti skaitmeninės ekonomikos, energetikos ir transporto sektoriuose kurti pažangumo, netaršumo ir saugumo siekiais grindžiamas sąsajas ir visame pasaulyje stiprinti sveikatos, švietimo ir mokslinių tyrimų sistemas.
Strategija „Global Gateway“ visapusiškai dera su JT darbotvarke iki 2030 m. ir jos darnaus vystymosi tikslais, taip pat su Paryžiaus susitarimu.
„Global Gateway“ tikslas yra sutelkti iki 300 mlrd. EUR investicijų.
Strategija „Global Gateway“ bus įgyvendinama taikant Europos komandos požiūrį, o tai suburs ES, jos valstybes nares ir jų finansų bei vystymosi institucijas ir leis įtraukti privatųjį sektorių, kad būtų pritraukta transformacinį poveikį darančių investicijų.
Pagal strategiją „Global Gateway“ vykdome projektus Lotynų Amerikoje ir Karibų jūros regione; Artimuosiuose Rytuose, Azijoje ir Ramiojo vandenyno regione, taip pat Užsachario Afrikoje.
